Little correction here, you get 8 points per 150 spent only when you spend at marriot hotels. Otherwise, it's 4 points on travel etc and for the rest you only get 2 points. I really don't think it's worth it, amex platinum travel is a better option to collect marriot points and that's what I use. More on reddit.com

Today I had a chat with the bank representative and he advised me to not upgrade my card to DCB metal because as per him that card is not widely accepted. He instead suggested me to go with HDFC Marriott Bonvoy Credit Card. This is the first time I heard about this card so would like to know your opinion about it. They are willing to offer this card to me along with my HDFC Regalia Gold Credit Card. Is it worth it?

MBV is a great proposition. 15k Marriott points can get you a room in Westin for INR 15-20k (depending on your dates & property) if you’re smart about your bookings, it can give you value of upwards of a rupee per point, which is insane value for 3k fee. Not to forget 12 domestic + international lounge visits & golf access. It’s a great card imo, doesn’t need to be your primary card, use Amex travel + gold for that & transfer points to Marriott (1:1) - better than regalia gold imo
