Maryland Board of Nursing…
That is so frustrating I'm so sorry! I just have my CNA but had to email MBON so many times..I would respond back to my email with RE: in the subject. That's when they replied.. a few different people responded and I started cc'ing anybody who replied and responded w RE: I think they thought it was already being worked on so they picked it up vs something new? Idk. I tried to say thank you for your time I know you're so busy etc etc etc Idk if that helped at all. Shouldn't be going through this!! Hope you get to start your new job soon! All the best to you 🌺 More on reddit.com

Maryland nursing license
Why did it take so long? My wife currently has her temporary RN license and it's been 6 weeks with no update. Temp license expires 90 days after issuance. Wondering if we are going to have to go down to Baltimore in person. More on reddit.com

How long does it take the Maryland board of nursing to renew RN license?
It always takes awhile but your license is still active. Check the state license lookup for Maryland and it should show still active. Print it and give it to a new employer while you're waiting on the hard copy bc that could take weeks More on reddit.com

Does anyone have a direct line or direct email to a person at the Maryland Board of Nursing? I was on hold for over 5 hrs and never got to speak to anyone. They never reply to email. And I live out of state so I can’t just visit the office.
I now live in Hawaii. I took time away from nursing the past couple years due to some personal issues and I’m trying to reactivate my license. I was in Baltimore at the beginning of March, so I went directly to the office after multiple attempts of trying to contact them via phone and email. It’s a 6 hour time difference between Hawaii and Maryland. I woke up at 3 am just to call them right at open. I sat on hold for about 3 mins, then the phone started to ring, then they hung up on me. I assume accidentally. I call back. Sat on hold about 10 mins, and finally spoke to a woman named Ms Gray. Who seems very lovely, but considering her excuses, I was not very happy. She informed me they have no paperwork from me. They asked me if I took photos of my paperwork as proof that I completed it. I about lost my shit. But I know if I get upset with them, they will just help me less. I really need to start working again, but I can’t do that when they won’t reactivate my license. I just emailed/faxed them the stupid hand written receipt they gave me as evidence of my packet, but now I’m just supposed to sit and wait? Irritated, I decided to call back. I sat on hold for over 5 hrs. I fell asleep while waiting for them to answer (it was now about 4:30 by the time I found the receipt). I cannot stand the Maryland board of nursing. PS, the Hawaii board of nursing is AMAZING. I can’t wait to call them back once I have my license restored. They answer after a couple rings. And they actually help people. More on reddit.com

Maryland Board of Nursing continues investigation into fraudulent licenses
April 15, 2025 - In response, the Board of Nursing said they've since processed 205 of the 259 individuals in question, all of whom obtained their credentials legitimately. "Maryland has no cause to take disciplinary action against 205 of the individuals because the Maryland LPN or RN license was obtained with legitimate credentials, or, the Maryland Board of Nursing does not have jurisdiction because the individual does not have a Maryland RN or LPN license, a pending RN or LPN application, or a privilege to practice nursing in Maryland pursuant to a multistate RN or LPN license."
