About 2 hours ago I bought a Mastercard Gift card, the card is activated and has all its funds but any time I go to purchase something the payment declines; I know these sites accept Mastercard Gift cards seeing as I've used them in the past, so I'm just very frustrated. Their customer service seems to consist of a prerecorded bot with no means of actually talking to a real person.
i bought a mastercard gift card today and it refuses to work and/or activate. I have gone to balance.mastercardgiftcard.com to try and activate it. it just tells me that a system error occured and to login later. im not even trying to login, im trying to activate the damn card. i called the phone number and that did not help at all. i spent $55 on this card and really dont want it going to waste, can somebody please help?
How do you activate a MasterCard prepaid card?
I am was first trying to just use the card online which declined. I then added it to Paypal and google pay both still declined. What gives? I then tried to add it to wallet funds on a site which now gave me -$25 pending. When I called they said it could take 7-10 business days. I remember these being instant and just working. What happened?
Edit: I called the customer service who stated that the money is basically in limbo and was not accepted by Steam and it will take 7-10 days for it to go back onto the card. Does anyone know if I can use walmart or something to buy steam gift cards and use those with this card?
Update: I had a second card that worked on Amazon, so that works I guess. Should have just bought the Amazon gift card lol.
I use prepaid MasterCard to pay at Costco. Usually buy them at a grocery store (500$) + 9.95$ activation fee.
I'm now seeing these new cards: Secure Spend for 7.95$ activation fee.
Anyone ever tried them? What's the catch? Do they have no-use fees? Or monthly fees? Or is it really just the 7.95$ activation?
