I can't find any info here on Reddit so I thought I'd ask. Has anyone purchased this one or have any experience with it or the Cool sense brand? It seems similar to any foam mattress with a 7" base layer and 3" memory foam on the top.
I laid on it in store and it felt great! Way better than any of the other mattresses in the store, and felt similar to the Serta iSeries hybrid I tried at a mattress firm for $1500. Ive been losing my mind for the past few months - my 10 year Serta pillow top mattress is toast - sagged in the middle and I wake up in a lot of pain each morning. I need something, and for $380 after tax I'm rolling the dice.
I'd rather take the risk that this one will wear out more quickly than a more expensive one, but know how it feels before buying it. Instead of going for a more expensive one that might last longer but I have no idea how it will feel before buying it.

I bought one of these and then later found out they're made with fiberglass. DO NOT take the washable zippered cover off! encase it in a waterproof mattress protector in case the cover it came with wears out or gets a hole. You do not want fiberglass shards destroying everything you own.

I've been waking up all bent out of shape and in bad pain each morning from my 10 year old pillow top. Only weird thing is I can't find any info about this Coolsense - who makes it, if it's available anywhere else. Nothing.

I’m trying to find out if this mattress has fiberglass in it, I can’t read the tag without first opening it and I don’t want fiberglass coming out and causing problems. I’m worried if I open it the store won’t take it back and that will be $350 wasted. Does anyone have this mattress and can take a picture of the tag that tells what materials the bedding and cover are made of? Or how to prevent fiberglass being a problem? I mean obviously I won’t be taking the cover off. Thank you!

Fiberglass really isn't a huge problem. I know it's scary but most mattress you see have it there. I've worked stores for years and never had a single complaint about fiberglass. The mattress subreddit is a small community so the negativity often rings out very loud, people come here because they have issues with their mattress and give you their horror story, most of the time leaving out the "how they got there". If you're not taking the cover off and manhandling it recklessly, you'll be fine. If you're really worried put a protective barrier over it but you'll be ok.

The biglots has 30 days return policy . I just opened it the support is good. But I’m having a bit irritation . Mine came with stain and the manual paper came as crumpled . So just thinking it might a mattress repacked that someone returned. Just curious how was yours if you had opened it?

They have several decent name brands (Serta, Sealy) but I know that the manufacturers make different quality beds depending on the store. I would assume a Serta from Macy’s is not equal to a Serta from Big Lots. Would it be worth it to buy one from Big Lots in terms of longevity?

Big Lots does sell the big name mattress companies in their stores, yes. But they only sell the most entry-level, cheapest models offered. As for EvilGlitter's comment, warranties have to be handled through the retailer that sold the mattress this is true. I'm not surprised to hear that there have been problems with Big Lots, they don't want to deal with them. I suggest you go to a regular mattress retailer, many will match or beat the prices on the same models that Big Lots sells. Sometimes they can even get you a better quality mattress for a similar price. I suggest you avoid them altogether, they're not worth the hassle.

I’ve been researching mattresses and reading a ton of reviews the past 3 weeks. Every single one that mentioned Big Lots was a negative one. Apparently if you try to return a mattress for any reason whether it’s a defect or it’s too uncomfortable for you, Big Lots will say you have to contact the manufacturer. Then the manufacturer will say you have to deal with Big Lots. They’ll send you around in circles basically. I’d tread carefully.
