Recently I saw a post mentioning Stocktwits so figured I’d check it out. Am I crazy, or is that place full who people who have no idea what they’re talking about?
I’m newer to trading and was hoping to continue to learn, but it seems like 95% of people on there are just posting random shit that makes no sense, can’t read a chart, and don’t even know what they’re invested in.
Is there a better alternative, or should I stick to YouTube videos and the like? Thanks.

The trending stocks are a good screener on things that are currently being pumped or recently pumped. I use it mostly for sentiment or penny stocks where there isn’t much news. Some people on there do great research too. Just gotta filter through the bullshit.

I downloaded Stocktwits at others' recommendation here, and it's simply overwhelming. It just seems like hundreds of voices all randomly voicing their speculative opinions. Even the Trending part doesn't really tell me much other than I've probably already missed the dip.
Does anyone have any good tips for using the program? Should I just use it to identify some interesting looking tickers and then do my own DD from there? Is there some other functionality that I'm overlooking that would make it useful to a hobbyist investor/trader?

Whenever you’re frustrated on a red day, open it up and read 1000 comments about how your stock pick is about to moon tomorrow. Then re-convince yourself it’s a good hold by buying into the echo chamber bs. Watch the stock sink another day and repeat every day for a few months until one day it runs up enough to get out from under. Then buy more and start the cycle over.
