I'd keep it. It's mostly used for fissile fuel for the fission reactor and polonium pellets for some late game stuff. If you want to get into a fusion reactor or a meka suit then you'll need quite a bit of it. If you don't care about any of the late game Mekanism stuff then you're pretty safe to trash most of it. First off haven't got into this mod yet, but how much of this stuff does one need when playing this mod.
Fluorite is absolutely everywhere in my caves at all lvls seemingly. Should I be scooping it all up? Fuckin hell I'm gonna need a backpack just for this one "ore"

No scooping, get a miner. Also start 2×, 3×, 4× 5× ore processing, too, ASAP.

I am running a mekanism fission reactor but I constantly nee to go out and get fluorite. Putting out a digital miner normally only grants about 60 ores.

Use silk touch with the miner and then either run the blocks through a process or mine manually with a high level fortune (five or six of possible) pick to get tons.

I think your pack has industrial foregoings. If so, check out the laser in it. Think you'll need a white lens but will convert energy into ores and other things. I set up an array of them the other day (all lens colours) and I can't process everything fast enough. Best bit is, it generates ores instead of mining them so you don't need to move the set up around after wards. One of direwolf's videos explains things pretty well.

I may be being stupid but I need fluorite to craft the chemical crystallizer (mekanism).
I've searched undergound for about 3 hours and I cant find any. Ive seen that people have suggested going to new chucks but I only started this save 3 days ago (ATM9 0.2.44), I tried it anyway, no luck.
I dont have any of it so I cant make Mystical seeds or anything like that.
Any help would be much appreciated. This is really annoying me.

Didn't remember, how I get my first fluorite to make bees, so decided start again. And it works. Make builder, clearing quarry card and filter module. In fm search "forge_ores: fluorite" (or smth like this). Install fm into builder. Set card properties (for me works 64, 60, 64 + offset -120. Get some power. Done! I get 1k flourite, while typing this.

mekanism fluorite doesn't seem to exist and i've been unable to find it anywhere. i've tried the overworld, the end, even the mining dimention. nada. this has been driving me up the wall i've even tried looking thousands of blocks away from loaded chunks. any help? please?

They removed it - it uses the gregtech fluorite ores now. You can fortune them then go smelt the raw green stuff for the crystals x2 (or do Greg stuff for more efficiency). The regular green crystal is used in the mekanism machines now in this pack instead of the whitish crystal you remember

When I started a world on an older version there was no fluorite, and I ended up having to use a digital miner and industrial foregoing thing for fluorite. In the newer versions my world's have fluorite though

The amount of fluorite I am finding is abysmally small, and I need a ton of it for the next step in Mekanism. I have a digital miner butbit doesn't seem to find any. After looking around online I see that it's really only able to spawn near oceans, am I forced to set up a miner in an ocean biome to get the amount I need? The nearest ocean is about 2000 blocks away from my base so it's a bit of a pain, but if need be I guess I can set up a waystone. Any help making this easier would be much appreciated, I searched for 4 hours yesterday and only came up with about 10 ore.
