I love how everyone’s take on automation is different! This is a great set up! I’m using a set up I saw Pilpoh do cause it feeds directly from my AE2 system. It requires a ton of me interfaces and pattern providers but everything is fairly neat and have all alloys and circuits on demand. Mekanism is such a fun mod to work through. And I say that as someone who blew up his base this morning messing with my fission reactor…

March 19, 2025 - I saw in another comment that you are using ATM10 where my information may be wrong, but for at least ATM9 the ore processing rates are wrong. The 1x 2x 3x... is actually 1x, 1.33x, 2x, 2.66x, and 3.33x respectively for 1 raw ore to ingot.

September 30, 2024 - Also for machines that can use it, don’t sleep on the gas upgrade, it makes running them so much cheaper. Also personally I only get deeper into mekanism when I have AE2 autocrafting ready, as some recipes like the induction cells and the different alloys or steel are just a pain to do manually all the time.

I’ve been playing ATM9 for like a week and am starting to go into mekanism to craft stuff for the ATM star. Its been a struggle every step and I couldnt find any guides on it. Any tips?

The best methods: The quest book is your best friend for progression, most of the mekanism tasks have guides written JEI is super helpful for figuring out how to make what into what I’m just starting the reactor stuff, and it is tricky, but I’ve only ever used the quest book for it, there are pictures and descriptions for everything ☺️

Mekanism is probably my favorite mod, maybe duking it out with Create. I start with an Infuser, throw in coal and a few stacks of iron until they are steel. Add a second infuser, an Enrichment Chamber (MekRichment?) and any smelting machine (I like Iron Furnaces over the MekSmelter) and you've got steel flowing out of your ears. Mute all the machines as you go. Next setup 4 lines to produce the Basic Control Circuits and all 3 alloys. Depending on how resource rich you are, or greedy, you can enrich the catalyst ingredients or not. I do, because it's fun. I also setup full lines to produce each alloy from scratch instead of using the output of the reds to make purples. IE using 5 enrichment chambers and 4 infusers. As your infused alloys start rolling in, get the energy and speed upgrades in everything asap. Let that run and stockpile while you go off and do other stuff, come back, upgrade the machines with Installers to run faster, and then you're looking toward the Thermal Towers and your first reactor.
