The mode switch does not appear to be working with the jet packs or the scuba tanks. Tried both normal and armored jet pack and it is stuck on regular mode. Tested with mekanism only installed. No ... More on github.com

It's just stuck on Disabled and I can't do anything about it outside of crafting an entirely new jetpack and not hitting the armor mode change button. I made sure to assign a hotkey for armor switch mode to a key that is completely free and it's still giving me this problem.

It seems that they are all opting for the Mekanism jetpacks in their series' instead of the simply jetpacks option. The issue with this is that The armored version of the mekanism jetpacks are currently broken and don't provide any armor at all even though it puts the indicator on the armor bar. This leaves them very vulnerable and is a big issue as far as taking dungeons goes. You end up taking a lot of damage (espesially from the archers I've found) that should be mitigated. This is seen a lot in the Flux Buddies series with u/Yogscastlalna and u/YogscastKim
What they should be using are Armored Resonant Jetpacks. These are slightly more expensive to build, but they use RF as fuel and their armor is a diamond chestplate's worth of armor an is not broken! I've found this makes you feel much more invincible as you would expect from such an expensive armor item.

November 2, 2013 - Bit extreme, but would also work I think though that "Digital Technology", of which the Miner is the first (or 2nd if you count the teleporter), would be a good "Top Tier Technology" in the future of Mekansim (I've got my misty crystal ball out). All these Digital devices will need some form of configuring to get to work, so being able to save your configs by using another block to write the "programs" is a natural step and something else for us to build and power. ... Several early-mid game gear options have been added that act similar to IC2 items, such as the Jetpack and Scuba Tank/Gas Mask.
