The simplest doubling method runs raw ore through an Enrichment Chamber to produce Enriched Ore, which is then smelted in the Energized Smelter to produce two ingots instead of one. Adding a Purification Chamber, Crusher, and additional Enrichment Chamber in sequence produces three ingots per ore. The full four-step chain with a Chemical Dissolution Chamber and Chemical Washer produces four ingots per ore. Build the chain in stages and test each step before adding more complexity.

The Digital Miner requires a Robit (made from Atomic Alloy and Refined Obsidian), a Teleportation Core (an advanced crafted component), a Logistical Sorter, Atomic Alloys, a Basic Control Circuit, and a Steel Casing. All of these require the full alloy progression to be complete, making the Digital Miner a mid-to-late game goal. Focus on reaching Atomic Alloy production first, then gather the remaining components.

The Metallurgic Infuser is used to make all four tiers of Alloys (Infused, Reinforced, Atomic), all four tiers of Control Circuits, Steel through enriched iron and carbon, and many other specialized materials. The yellow slot holds the infusion catalyst (Redstone, Diamond Dust, Carbon, etc.) and the main slot holds the item being infused. It is the single most important machine in Mekanism and is involved in nearly every recipe chain.
