I wear wingtips everyday to work. I’ve been buying cheap (<$100) pairs that last me about 1.5 years but hoping to get something that lasts longer or could be repaired as time goes on. Thanks!

Edit: thanks for everyone’s help! I just bought a pair of Allen Edmonds. Went with the “factory seconds” to save a few bucks (I’m cheap). With a 25% Memorial Day discount I got $400 shoes for basically $225. Hopefully they’ll last for years to come!

Edit 1 year later: Update! The quality was HORRIBLE. The shoes started showing significant wear 5ish months after wearing them a few days a week to my office job. I always put shoe trees in the pair between wears, and conditioned them at least once a month.

After 10 months there were threads coming undone, the back heel pealing off, and a hole in sole.

I sent them to AE hoping for some reprieve, but they told me there weren’t any defects with the shoes so it was my problem.

I will never buy AE shoes again.

Update - What I Bought and Will Buy Again: I now wear Stacy Adams shoes, wingtips specifically. You can get a paid for about $130, they’re comfortable, and they are holding up much better than my AE’s did. I wanted to love my AE’s when I bought them, and maybe I just had a bad experience, but there is an ignorance bliss of not having high expectations.
