I’ve been in 6 weddings 4 of which through MW 2 the black tux.

It took mens wearhouse 3 different appointments/weddings to finally get my suit measurements right and then I spend $300 to rent an ill fitting suit for 1 day.

Other options:

I will say the black tux was a much better experience with a better fit. Eg they don’t make me return the suit the day after the wedding and it works well if you have groomsmen out of state.

Using a local Taylor, could be more costly but worth a phone call to see what the options are.

Buying the suit:(this is more viable if it’s someone basic like black or navy blue) men’s wearhouse has cheap suits you can buy, you could pick out the color/pattern. It will probably be more than renting but atleast you own the suit now and if you buy from them they can make actual adjustments as opposed to rental suits, so now your groomsmen won’t look like a kid wearing their dads suit.

Or last but, certainly least popular we are telling the groomsmen to wear a navy blue suit, chances are they already own one or if they don’t they can either rent one or, buy a cheap one from MW. However in our case pretty much all our groomsmen own one already.
