It's most likely just the designer/brand that leads to the cost. But it could also be the material/construction. Are you a guest or a groomsman? I'm assuming you're a guest because you said you're attending, but if you're in the wedding party there's probably a specific suit picked out for the party to wear and you'll want to go with that if you can. If you're a guest, I absolutely suggest to go with the cheaper one. No one will think twice about your suit itself, they'll just notice you're dressed up. They won't check the brand or feel your suit for the material. It's going to be as comfortable as the more expensive suit unless it's a vastly cheaper material/construction so I don't think you'll be miserable in it. Can you try on the cheaper one in store and see how you feel in it before you put in the order to rent it? They'll have to measure you in store anyway to order it (unless you know all your measurements and order it yourself) so you'll have the opportunity to see how it feels on you. More on reddit.com

The mistake you made was in not getting budgets before looking around. I have to say, that suit is a nice ensemble! But not if it costs too much.
