I think it's silly to get upset about trends. If you don't like a trend, you don't have to participate in it. It looks childish to you because most of the people who are young enough to chase trends like this probably ARE children to you. That doesn't make it bad fashion, it just means it isn't FOR you. Past a certain age, you start to look ridiculous if you lean too hard into a current trend.
