I’m queer and hate wearing dresses, but don’t want to put on a whole tux for a black tie wedding in SC in September. I tend to think jumpsuits aren’t formal enough for black tie, but found this one resale. Thoughts?
I've never met the couple getting married so it's not the same situation, but I was surprised when my MIL and SIL wore black to my daytime wedding. I just don't want to look offensive or out of place. The invitation said their colors are gold and floral and I'm having a terrible time finding anything to fit that criteria, but I'm afraid this is too opposite. I thought I might get a gold wrap to go with this but it might look weird. I'm terrible at putting outfits together and I always end up looking strange. Any help would be very appreciated!
I want to wear this back jumpsuit and pair some nice floral heals with it to lighten it up a bit (see images). Is this acceptable for a cocktail attire wedding? Wedding is at 4pm if that matters. The material is very sleek high quality—it’s not cheap cotton or anything. I could also do the same jumper in blue (with different heels). Is wearing black to a wedding stick kind of ick?
Help a girl out who hates wearing dresses!
Not sure if this would be too casual. 430 wedding at a venue.
