TIL that AM and PM mean ante meridiem and post meridiem and it's from Latin meaning Before Noon and After Noon!
I dont know why people insist on the 12/12 format now that we dont need analog clocks as much and digital is the norm. I've worked in military, healthcare, and finance; and every one of them used 24 clocks to avoid dealing with am/pm for record keeping. More on reddit.com
