I’m not getting married until next summer but I’m already having some dress stress. I’m not someone who has a dream dress and I generally don’t love wedding dresses, so I don’t want to spend more than $200 or so. Absolutely no judgement to those who did splurge, we all have our things (my engagement ring was a splurge).
We’re going to have a cocktail dress code as an upscale venue with a plated dinner. I don’t want to be TOO casual but I’m looking for the vibe of “a nice dress that also comes in white.” I want to be comfortable and wear the same dress for the ceremony and reception. I had originally picked out this satin slip dress but a couple people including my mom have told me it looks like underwear, so I think it’s out. If you wore/will wear a dress with nice but relaxed vibes, maybe tea length, where did you shop?

I ended up going with a Jenny Yoo little white dress. Some can get a little more expensive, but a lot are in to $200-$300 range. I also recommend what others said, if you find a dress/style you like, check to see if anyone is selling on Poshmark for a cheaper price. More often than not, they’ve only been worn for a few hours.
