They make incredible tacos using traditional masa. The Carne Asada taco is my favourite. There’s also a little Mexican restaurant in Kensington called El Trompo that I love.

Here's my three picks in no particular order: Casa Madera (upscale, still maintains authentic flavours that made me feel like I was having dinner back in Mexico) Torteria San Cosme (only tortas in town that I trust to be good, online-order only I believe) Itacate (only place in Toronto that serves tacos like ones you'd get from a street cart or taqueria in Mexico. Taqueria La Fonda in South Houston! Very authentic Norteño flavors. My favorites are the costillas and the baked potato topped with fajita and al pastor. Don’t order their guacamole but their aguas frescas are always great. When I’m being particularly nasty I’ll order the queso flameado con chorizo.
