Falling Down is one of those movies that implicates the audience in its depravity. Everyone can related to being stuck it traffic or shitty fast food service and we enjoy seeing him stand up for himself. We relate to him because he's down on his luck and we like to see him fight back. We see ourselves in him but most viewers feel a bit uncomfortable at the end when he realizes he's the bad guy and as the audience we start to see ourselves. More on reddit.com
