I've had this desk for years so of course it's showing some wear but for the most part it's an okay desk. I like the length (55 7/8"), but the depth isn't very deep (19 5/8").
If you're thinking of getting this desk be advised that the drawers in front make it impossible to sit your legs underneath the desk. Also, you can only attach a monitor mount using the port hole on the right side, so get used to the idea of just using your monitor with its original stand and sitting it on the actual desk.
If I could change desks I definitely would, but for as long as I've had this one, it's worked fine. Comes with a cable management area underneath as well. When combined with the Micke drawer you get a good amount of desk storage too. 7/10
Hello everyone! So I am not super knowledgeable about this stuff but recently ran into dilemma of needing a new desk and this is only one I can find that’s got perfect measurements for my little corner. The problem is that it won’t fit my dual monitors with the shelving. I wanted to make it go from this to this (pictures inserted) but I am wondering if there anyway at all to do that without loosing structural stability and integrity? Like if have to get metal support rods etc. I don’t want to fork out for the desk just to throw away half of it as that would be a waste of my money so I thought I would ask here! Any help is much appreciated!
I bought this desk and it has a great magnetic board in the back that looks like a whiteboard. Have any of you guys tried out using dry erase, and did it write and come off okay?
The description does not mention dry erase and the IKEA support folks I talked to just said the description doesn't mention it so it's a no-go.
Has anyone given this no-go a go-go?
