Question on Micro E-mini Futures
Has anyone traded micro e mini futures on td?
The commissions are painful when trading Micros since they are priced the same as trading Minis. If you're a scalper, TD isn't the best place to trade Micros.
But the TOS platform is awesome :D

I've passively traded it over its first week but it looks like it'll be my main trading platform for a long time until I feel ready to go back up to the normal emini. Biggest downside is the volume is craxy low but I solved that problem by moving to a much lower tick per bar set up. Where as on the emini NQ I'd trade the 600 tick on the micro I'll trade the 100 tick chart and they look incredibly similar. Still early days so I'm unsure but I'm hopeful.

According to https://www.investopedia.com/are-micro-e-mini-futures-the-next-big-thing-4690833#toc-what-are-micro-e-mini-futures, "As noted above, the S&P 500 E-minis are priced at $50 times the value of the index when the contract expires. Since the Micro E-mini is 1/10 that value, it's priced at just $5 times the value. So if the S&P 500 index is 2,950, the Micro E-mini value is $14,750. That's compared to the E-mini which would be priced at $147,500".
Well MES Jun20'25 is priced at $5,325.75 right now, and the S&P index is 5,282.70. That seems more like a 1:1 ratio instead of 5:1.
Or am I understanding something wrong?
