Office 365 E3 does not come with Azure AD Premium, Microsoft 365 plans do. And technically you're not getting the Azure AD Free tier, but a separate tier for O365 customers with few additional features enabled (I know it still displays Azure AD Free in the portal).
Anyway, if you need AAD Premium functionality, you need to either purchase standalone AAD P1/P2 licenses, or upgrade your plan to Microsoft 365 E3.

Thanks, I could have swore I saw somewhere about premium ad, but maybe it was just the added features.
Just wondering if anyone has any information on this. I've been using Office 365 E3 licensing in conjunction with Free Azure AD. All of a sudden my Entra licensing reflects that I have Entra P1. No licensing changes in logs or anything like that. I can't really find any information regarding any changes so if anyone knows what's up I'd appreciate it.
