Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.
If your school is part of the program, you can sign up using your school-provided email address here: https://www.microsoft.com/education/products/office
Once verified, you’ll get free access to tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams, perfect for online learning, assignments, and class collaboration.
If you or your students don’t have a school email or aren’t sure whether your school qualifies, it’s best to check with your school’s IT or admin department, they can confirm eligibility or help set it up.
Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Answer from John Jefferson Doyon on learn.microsoft.comHow can students get a free Microsoft 365 subscription?
"Free" version of Microsoft 365 not really free

The web-based versions of Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word are free to use for everyone, but they offer limited capabilities (for an overview, see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/3e863ce3-e82c-4211-8f97-5b33c36c55f8).
Using the full version of Office requires that you get a subscription or purchase a perpetual (one-time payment) license. A perpetual license such as Office Home & Student will be cheaper; the downside is that it is only licensed for one user and one device. For more, have look at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/buy/compare-all-microsoft-365-products#.
If you cancel an existing subscription, you can still continue to use the e-mail address (access it online) and you can use the associated OneDrive storage. Remember that the free storage is smaller, though.

Hey how do I get MS Office for free? I need it for my school and our school doesn’t support the free keys sadly here in Germany.
Alternatives instead of word, excel and PowerPoint would be helpful too! Thanks!
Probably not the best place to ask, but... I really need word and PowerPoint and I'm extremely shocked by the price of £119. Is there any way to get it for free?
