Hello Ashish Jagetiya,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum!
I understand that you are having issue with Microsoft 365 subscription isn’t activating on your Lenovo laptop. I truly understand how you feel. Let me assist you go through this situation.
For me to provide the most accurate solution, would you please let me know few information about the situation you're expiring:
- What error message do you see when trying to activate Office? (e.g., “Sign in required,” “Product not licensed,” or a specific error code)
- Is your Microsoft 365 subscription active when you check at account.microsoft.com/services?
- Are you signed in on your Lenovo laptop with the same Microsoft account that owns the subscription?
- How did you install Office? (From the official Microsoft site, Microsoft Store, or was it pre-installed by Lenovo?)
- Was Office activated before on this laptop, or is this the first time you’re trying to activate it?
I am looking forward for your respond. Thank you so much for your times.
Best Regard,
Hello there,
Thanks for reaching out. Here’s how you can activate Microsoft Office 365 on your Lenovo laptop:
- Make sure Windows is activated and your laptop is connected to the internet.
- Open any Office app like Word or Excel.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account linked to your Office 365 subscription. If you don’t have one, create it during sign-in.
- If Office was pre-installed, the license is tied to your device. Signing in will activate it automatically.
- If you purchased Office separately, go to office.com/setup, sign in, and enter your product key.
- After activation, restart the Office app to confirm it’s licensed.
If you see errors like “Unlicensed Product” or “Sign in required,” check that your subscription is active at account.microsoft.com/services and that you’re using the correct Microsoft account.
Best,
Res
Hello,Rosemary Pickett
Welcome to the Microsoft community!
I have realized that you want to activate your Microsoft 365.
Usually, if you buy a laptop with Office pre-installed, there will be a pre-installed label and instructions on the box or keyboard of the laptop, and you can also find the relevant instructions on the official website.
Pre-installed Office is usually the first time you start Office there will be a pop-up window to let you know that you can get it directly or in the Microsoft Store-Library of the device comes with it.
But based on your description, was the key written separately with 25 bits and then put together in the computer box?
Then I want to talk to you about the fact that your current URL for redeeming your key is wrong.
The correct URL is Setup Office - Office 365 Redemption
After activated, you can visit the https://account.microsoft.com/services to check if there are any products under the account.
If the product is not available, I suggest you check with your computer's aftermarket or Microsoft Support so that you can reactivate it. As this is a Microsoft community, forum members do not have the same access to verify user accounts as Microsoft support does, and to protect your privacy and security you are advised not to send out any information that is private to you.
I would like to tell you that as the pre-installed Laptop is the Brand owner's system, the system is pre-installed inside the Office are configured in advance, but does not exclude some of the computers, this part of the activation will be anomalous. You can contact the online chat, provide your purchase order, computer device ID and serial number, usually Microsoft support can help you verify the activation of the current device.
Contact Microsoft Support.
- Visit this website: Contact - Microsoft Support
- Type in your problems in the search box there. For instance, subscription/Tax invoices/refund, etc.
- Now click Get help, and Select Contact Support below.
- Go to the Products and services tab, and choose either Microsoft 365 and Office category or Other Products
- On the Category tab, choose Manage My Subscription or other alternatives.
- Go to Confirm.
- You can now choose the option of Chat with a support agent on your web browser.
Please Note: The Chat support team only works at certain times, so if the last window says you are not available, try to open it again the next day. If you prefer phone support, you can leave a phone number. That way, they can call you and help you.
Feel free to post back if you need further assistance.
Thank you for your understanding and patience and I look forward to hearing from you.

You may have to set up a Microsoft account and sign in to it first, and then enter the product key.
