March 4, 2025All MSOffice 365 Apps no longer work on my Android Phone
Since installing One UI 7.0 on my Android Phone, all MS365 apps no longer work. When trying to open one (e.g. Word, Excel) I get a black screen with just "Cancel" "Continue" at the bottom of the screen and the phone locks up. Hi, I had to open and edit "Word" document, but it was messy, the layout was not right so I couldn't read it right and not enditable. So, I want to know if there is a way to use fully office on my phone or if there is another third party app that do that, I don't mind to pay reasonable price but I woudn't use an app with subscribion.

No, you can't use the "full" Microsoft Office on Android. You can only either use Microsoft's Word app, or use Google's Doc app, which is mostly interchangeable with Word and can load Word documents. FWIW, Google's free Doc/Sheets/etc offerings are much better than Microsoft's free ones.

I've done exactly as you suggested. It did not fix the problem. There must be some sort of incompatibility issue between Office 365 and the latest Samsung/android One UI 7.0 release I installed and when the problem started.

I understand the importance of resolving this issue specially that every Microsoft applications are affected, Don't worry I will be helping you with this following steps.
- Clear Cache & Data: Go to Settings > Apps > Microsoft 365 Apps, then Clear Cache and Clear Data.
- Uninstall & Reinstall: Remove the affected apps, restart your phone, and reinstall them from the Play Store.
- Check App Permissions: Open the Office Mobile App, go to settings, and ensure permissions are enabled—some users found this helped.
