If it’s free, go for it. You’ll probably learn something new. But when reviewing resumes it’s not a certification that employers are looking for. Sometimes people will add pivot tables or vlookup to their resume next to Excel rather than just saying “excel” and that’s sometimes worth something. Hey, don't get down about your skills thinking it's not enough. These roles you're looking for don't need some macro wiz, or pivot table genius to work them. If you have any experience with word/excel then great, you already tick the box. Anything you need to know once you are there is just a Google away. I frequently recheck the syntax for certain excel formulae (like arrays) If you don't, do you have any experience with googled versions? Docs and sheets. Or apples versions? Pages or numbers. Personally think the fundamentals certs are worth it if interested in the MS/Azure ecosystem and you're in a non-it role and/or have limited knowledge yet and still learning, but for employers or the subjects you mention not that much (HR, Analyst). They give you some general knowledge, feeling with the exams and might give you guidance in where to go next. MSFT gives some clear pointers regarding prospective roles and skills measured.
