Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable - auto-update and x64 vs x68
There's like a million versions, I found a script a while back that imports all the flavours of VC redist as packages into SCCM. I don't deploy them to all workstations, just tick the right one as a dependency for the app deployments. I'm no programmer, but i'm fairly sure that each vcredist is almost a snapshot of everything available to the programmer at the time of making their software. More on reddit.com

Thanks for the link. Confirmation only identifies "Setup successful", but not showing in "installed Updates" after restart.

instructions say there should be a "Run", but is not showing after setup box.?? Any help??

Hi,

I'm just updating our package for VC redist.

Why are some clients not updating automatically to the latest version? How can this be managed?

MS mentions, that x64 Package will also update x86 package. But in Controlpanel and some places in registry, there is still the old x86 Version entry. only running x86 and x64 installer will update it. But there is only one vcruntime140.dll in system32 that's upgraded - even with the x64 installer only.

I think this is not an answer to my question. I am creating application installer using WiX which should install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) - 14.42.34438 automatically on an user machine if it doesn't exists. In order to do so I need to feed some data into the installer and I can't find relevant data about:
