The following page by far gives the best details regarding features, pricing etc. of Microsoft 365 Defender suite. There are details regarding the combined license for the suite as well as license for each individual product in the suite(viz. Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365 etc.)

Hi Dan, first of all I would like to sincerely thank you for all the effort you've put into creating such an elaborate license comparison table. You have no idea how much this helps. However, it would be great if you could provide a legend. For example, on the Exchange Online portion, you've marked P1 & P2, but marked an X for Business Basic. What does the X mean? If I'm not mistaken, business basic provides an EXO Plan 1. Also, you've put Business Basic & Standard under Office 365, and only Business premium under Microsoft 365. I believe even business basic and standard are also Microsoft 365. Would be great if you can clarify

January 4, 2021Is Defender a good XDR ?
I have been working with the Defender suite since 2020 and Microsoft have put a lot of effort to make it one of the best XDR solutions out there with continuous improvements. I have not used other XDR solutions so I cannot compare it against other products. My only advise would be avoiding all these YouTube videos where they run multiple ransomware files against Defender, as neither the devices used in the test nor Defender have been hardened properly. Hi all,
my company plan to switch from our current endpoint security vendor to a new one. Do you have any recommendations cost-wise? I heard Sophos is pretty good but have no details. Also big names like Crowdstrike and SentinelOne are around but I am sure they cost a fortune. Small MSP, Europe. Also, any ideas about XDR? This is like everywhere!

We like SOPHOS, and the pricing is good. If you get their firewalls you have integration between the two products. (don't get their switches, they've forgotten a few features) We also like their APs, rock solid. We also support Meraki and Sonicwall, so we have a few brands to compare for hardware regularly. On the occasions I've had to call support, they respond quickly and thoroughly. Like all AV products, you have to configure them correctly or they can slow things down a bit (like scans on shares for instance)
