I’ve been lurking on this subreddit for a while and have been really inspired by the ideas people share here. I’m hoping to get some help reimagining the exterior of our house with a cleaner, more mid-century modern vibe.
We will be redoing the circular concrete driveway that slopes up to the street and doing a full refresh of the landscaping — something drought-tolerant and simple, but with a modern feel perhaps agaves, grasses, stone, etc. New front door and garage door as well.
One thing I’m unsure about is the white quartz rocks on the siding — should we keep some or all, remove it, or mix it with another material?
Attached are a few photos of the current exterior from different angles to give you a better sense of the layout and materials. Appreciate any thoughts you might have!
Would love your thoughts, suggestions, or reimagined pics. Thanks in advance!

Natural stained wood siding would look great with the stone- and a new wood garage door. More modern. Also get rid of the giant boxwoods. They are overgrown.

If it’s something that could be done economically, I think the present driveway would look a lot better if the pavers were all running parallel to the direction of the driveway. I think that would give it a less colonial vibe. It would look even better if they could be placed in a grid pattern, rather than offset rows, but I expect that might destabilize the surface… or maybe not. In mid-century houses, I’ve seen that arrangement used a lot on walls…
