The garden beds are cool! I would like to add a fence to my front yard. I need to keep my pugs from running into the street. My house was built in the 1950's. I am surrounded by sea captain houses in Mystic CT. I live in the historic district, and must keep my house historically accurate. I have not found much landscaping ideas "out there". We are currently in the process of having a courtyard & carport built onto our MCM home. It's originally a William Krisel design, but the courtyard addition is a bit more like some Eichlers I've seen, with frosted plexiglass panels and brightly colored doors. It features some geometric cut-outs that will eventually contain lush plants like ferns, philodendrons and a red Japanese maple.
