Designing a mid-century ranch house
How come no one builds mid century inspired homes? I’m obsessed with mid century modern ranch homes and would like to build one but I can’t find inspiration on the internet.
Does anyone have experience buying/living in a mid-century modern home in the Northeast

I've decided that one of my last big dreams in life is to design and build my own mid-century ranch home. I've looked at all the blueprints from websites like Eplans etc. and I even bought a couple of .pdfs from eBay (kind of a waste of money IMO), advertisements from the 1950s for mid-century ranches. But I can't seem to find what I need.
Obviously when push comes to shove, when the day is ready for me to build, I will hire an architect.
Still in the meantime, I'm hungry for more mid-century blueprints to read through. Does anyone have a good source they can recommend? I'm looking for something with a slanted roof, very large windows to the backyard (wall of windows) and an eat-in kitchen that maximizes space. A 3-4 bedroom with at least 2 baths. Yes, I know most actual mid-century ranches only had 1 bathroom and many architectural features we find impractical today; I'm just going to put a very slight modern upgrade on it while staying as true to the original feel as I can.
I feel like I missed my calling to be an architect. I just love reading through blueprints so much. If anyone can recommend where I should head from here without spending too much more money, I'm all ears.
