Hi everyone! I am 5'2 and I am searching for some good midrise/lowrise jeans because highwaisted makes me look weird. However I dont know any good quality brands that are also affordable, and offer good sizing for my height. I heard Levis 501s and Madewell jeans are popular but I am unsure because there are so many options. Thanks everyone!
I live in the middle of a frozen wasteland (aka, Canadian Prairies) and have virtually no access to good stores. My favourite pair of black jeans are giving up their will to live, slowly shredding to pieces.
What I'm looking for:
-Black, black, jeans, not just printed or coated. Dyed all the way through.
-Mid-rise, slim fit (not skin tight all the way down)
-long legs, I'm 5'8 and hate ankle pants.
-no fancy detailing, just plain and simple.
-decently stretchy, but not so much that they lose their shape too easily.
About me: I'm very slightly pear shaped, most people can't tell by looking though. 39" hips, 26.5" waist, and violin hips. I usually wear a size 6, or 27 in jeans. But I frequently have an issue with the waistband being too big because my waist is so small. Low rise hit right in the dip of my hips and make me look like I have perpetual muffin top. And high rise gape terribly around my waist. Mid-rise are always my best bet but aren't that easy to come by.
Budget: Preferably $50 or under.
My two absolute favourite pairs of jeans have come from H&M, but I can't order from them up here in Canadaland, and the closest one is 7 hours away on treacherous icy roads.
If any of you have suggestions, I'd be glad to hear them. I'm stumped.
