A couple years ago I used to swear by American eagle’s jeans. They were my favorite! They fit so well and sizing was pretty consistent. I tried buying jeans recently and the sizing has completely changed. I have to try on at least 2 sizes for each type of jean to figure out what fits. I bought their stovetop jeans recently and I thought I loved them until after wearing them for just a few hours, the jeans stretched about two sizes up. By the end of the day the jeans were falling off!

Has anyone had more luck with a different line of American eagle jeans? Or is the quality just overall bad now?

I have always struggled with denim jeans textures and fits and often will find a favorite pair, buy several pairs of them and wear them every day until they fall apart. I found out that American Eagle discontinued their Dream Jean jeggings in the mid rise cut. I haven’t worn a different pair in like 5 years they were my absolute favorite. After many breakdowns in dressing rooms I don’t know what else to do, I can’t find anything to replace them that isn’t high waisted.

I despise anything higher than mid-rise as I’m a teacher and the constant up and down and bending over to help my students makes higher rises dig into my waist. I can’t have any sort of hole or fraying in the legs, around the bottom hem is okay. I prefer a shorter length, usually just above my ankle with a jegging type fit in a dark wash. If it helps I’m 5’3” medium build woman in my mid-twenties. I wear a size 6 or 8 short Stretch is kind of a must seeing as I’m constantly walking around the room

Please help this teacher feel comfortable in jeans again. I’m tired of crying in dressing rooms and stressing over finding a good pair of jeans. Editing to add that I’ve searched through poshmark, depop and ebay to no avail. What are some comfy brands you love that are good quality and offer a wide variety of fits and styles. I wanna find my new favorite, but haven’t had any luck.
