Officially, you can't add servers to console Minecraft. Unofficially, there are services like BedrockConnect that let you add servers. Not sure if it still works since the UI change.

I know how to connect to custom /private servers on the xbox by using the dns server list trick but surely microsoft / mojang must be looking in to another way for people to connect to custom servers on consoles.
Is there a reason why it's not just a feature already? It's easy enough to do on PC Bedrock and Java, why does it have to be different on consoles?
