Packagers will pull items out of inventories, and put them in packages. These packages may be tagged with a destination if they are requested through a stock link or ticker, or if there is a sign on the packager, in which case the text of the sign is the destination. Packages will travel along chain conveyor chains, pathfinding if necessary, until they reach any frogport with a name matching their destination. The said frogport will then grab them, from where they can be pushed into another packager to unpack back into an inventory. A stock ticker (with a mob sitting next to it) linked to the proper network (every packager on the net needs a linked stock link) gives you an overview of what is available in the network total, and to order packages to specific destinations.

W to ponder and creative world. Tutorials can only help that much. Play around with them and see what works best. Small note: only the sending pachager needs a redsrone signal, receiving packager don't need one.
Problems using the packager with the mechanical crafter.
I was dealing with this issue, turns out you have to make the crafter all connected at the back otherwise it thinks the grid is too small to make the item. More on reddit.com

Help with the re-packager
Judging by the name '1x3 crafter', the problem is probably in your crafter itself. The packager network cannot actually work with a 1x3 crafter, it has to be a 3x3 grid, even if the recipe does not need it. More on reddit.com

Cardboard Package | Create Wiki | Fandom
Cardboard Packages are part of the High Logistics system in Create. They are used to insert or extract items in bulk into or from storage blocks. They can also transport items in bulk between storage and a variety of tools in an automated factory. Cardboard ackages are created by a Packager when the packager extracts items from a storage block.

I'm trying to make andesite with the new create mod 6.0 and ran into this issue. The packagers work every other time, just not with the crafters :/

You can package items into their correct slots for a crafting recipe and then insert them into a 3x3 grid of Mechanical Crafters to automatically put them into the correct slots. This alone makes the usage of Mechanical Crafters much easier.

the frog should be connected directly to the repacker, or it should be through a funnel or something that forces the items into the barrel as the frog cannot put them directly into the barrel, note: it is more recommended to put a chute between the frog and the barrel for your problem.

r/CreateMod on Reddit: Anybody knows a way to deal with package overflow?
March 15, 2025 - Instead, you can just use the normal minecraft auto-crafter to have a much higher throughput, and then you can also send the items for multiple crafts with just one package. Plus, the factory gauges can only send 3×3 or smaller crafts, so you dont lose any functionality (to my knowledge). Getting things to funnel in the right order can be a bit of pain. But you can figure it out in vanilla without Create, so Create just makes things easier.
