Hey all,
I'm currently looking for a decent keyboard that is smaller than a full size but keeps the numpad.
My only experience with mechanical keyboards is a filco majestouch 2 that I have had for ~10 years and it has been great.
However I now would like a keyboard that I can take in and out of work, so ideally small, wireless, numpad and UK ISO.
I would really appreciate some suggestions.

Hello r/keyboards
I once had a CM Storm QuickFire TK, and I really enjoyed the size & layout of that model. It's been a few years since I replaced it (I didn't care for the brown switches it had and made the mistake of going full size with the replacement). Now with CM Storm defunct I can't find a similar model with MX Reds - does anyone know of one? The key features I'm looking for are:
-
Compact size (TKL size)
-
Numeric keypad
-
MX Red switches (or similar)
If what I'm looking for doesn't exist, I guess I'll go with something like this HyperX plus this separate keypad - just looking for a single-item solution.
On a general note: Does anyone have a good idea of why the TKL design is so common, while the TK layout is much rarer (maybe even unique to the QuickFire TK)? I guess there aren't many of us heavy numpad users, but having access to the numpad seems so obviously superior that I'm surprised it didn't win out.
Relatively new to PC (1 Year) and upgraded my Keyboard to the Razor Huntsman Mini. I was using the Steelseries Apex 3 but wanted something much smaller since I move from home to uni a lot. Anyway I was messing about with mods on GTA III before the switch, a couple of which used NumKeys. Obviously this keyboard doesn’t have a numpad, surely there’s a way to reroute them? I did google it but nothing really showed up. Thanks.
