Rf tools has a “Builder” (forgot the name). Its a quarry, set the radius and give it power and you can mine very large areas. Also Rf tools is great because you can create a new dimension made out of diamond blocks. Build craft has quarrys but that mod is ancient. Computer craft turtles can go mine an area for you. (Have to program them/ find mining program someone has written first) With create you can slap some drills on a minecart and make it dig

I have given up on finding a modpack that does this. I am tired of having to mine a ton every single time I want to play modded Minecraft at all. I don't find it fun. Since I cannot find a modpack that improves this, I want to find some mods to make it actually enjoyable. I would like to reduce or outright remove the tedium of mining constantly. Sure, something like mining gadgets makes it faster, but it does not in the slightest make it less tedious. I want to set up, say, a quarry or something that just automatically mines enough for me. Or maybe some way to make an automatic miner. You get the point. The version these mods are on doesn't matter. Could be in 1.7.10, 1.12.2. 1.16, whatever version.
edit: I found a combination of mods that fixes my issues, producing ore at such a high rate for cheap:

If you are as bothered as you sound in your comments, use the digital miner or rftools builder in combination with twighlight forest. Cheat in a transdimensional item of your choosing (e.g tesseract), rig up the miner to consume the barrows in the twighlight forest, profit. If you are using the rtfools miner or similar then make sure you have some way to divert off earth materials like dirt stone etc because you will have it spilling out of your ears.
