Hi! A while back, I installed CurseForge and tried to get some mods into the game, and it didn't really work out. So, naturally, me being me, I deleted CurseForge and tried to find another solution, which, I didn't. Here I am now, with CurseForge installed back on my computer, because I'm trying to get the Replay Mod for my videos. Does anyone know how this stuff works?

If you don't know what you are doing starting with a modpack is good way to get started. If you just want the one mod, you need to check what version of minecraft it has release for and within that which mod loader it has a version for on that release. Like some mods were only forge, or only fabric, or were forge and are now fabric or support both, but only on newer versions of minecraft. So you find the mod and the version, you can click create custom profile in the upper right of curseforge. In the window you now pick the versions you discovered from the one mod you must have's mod page. On the mod loader version you can usually pick the latest for that version of minecraft and curse will limit you to versions that work with the minecraft version you select first. That should create a profile or instance and now you can click on it and click add more content. Then search for your desired mod -- if you did your research correct it will be in the results as you created a profile with the minecraft version and mod loader that matches one of it's releases. You can then continue to use the add more content search to install more mods to your profile. When you are done adding mods you can close out the add more content view and click play to have curse launch your instance through the vanilla launcher.

Personally, my favorite has to be Applied Energistics 2 + Create, these helps with inventory management so you dont have to waste time creating more chests and sorting them. If you want more biome variety, go for Biomes O’Plenty + YUNG’s Better series. If you want more food variety, go for Farmer’s Delight + Ocean’s Delight, and get the add-on for Create called Delightful Creators to make food automation out of it, plus Chef’s Delight to get villagers occupation on it.
