Nothing wrong with the same style coffee and end tables. It looks worse when they are similar but not the same. Either go with the same style or wildly different. I would never buy a mdf laminate veneer coffee table unless you just plan to throw it away after a short time. The Laguna table appears to be solid wood so it would be a much better option. The space has a lot of hard lines in the fixed elements, so this is a nice opportunity to bring in something curvy. Aside from the floors and fixed elements, it doesn't look like there's any wood in the space, so I'd choose that as a material choice to incorporate new texture (I'd opt for dark, like walnut). Depending on your storage situation, this could be an opportunity to incorporate storage. Your other furnishings all extend visible space (i.e., you can see through them) and so I'd similarly opt for something raised off the floor on legs, even if they're short. Target something that is 2/3 the size of the couch. Maybe it's the camera angle, but I'd move the couch more onto the rug if you're not adding more seating. More on reddit.com
