I think every single one of them looks really bad. They don't look retro, they look "retro". They look as if someone tried too hard and stuck to the same genre for every single logo. And they don't call back to their original brand really at all. But I bet whoever designed them knows illustrator a little bit better now. More on reddit.com

I’d say these are more modern “retro” designs, in that they’re a modern take on what some aspects of retro design were. But none of these brands would have likely had logos like this back then (and in fact, six of them didn’t). To me, these logos don’t actually fit the brands. It seems like so many people post here with the same old comments about how they’re wrong about something being mid century modern. At this point it seems like something can only be one of three well known brands or there’s arguments started in the thread. Is mid century modern not, by common definition, furniture produced from the end of WWII to the early 70s characterized by organic or streamlined furniture commonly made of wood, leather, or metal? So I’m asking the experts here what YOU consider mid century modern.

Plenty of wood and leather pieces of furniture produced in the mid century that is not of the mid century style. Lots of stuff with curly decorations does not fit Mid Century.
