I’m not sure if this is true, but a plumber once told me that a lot of the supposedly reputable brands make lesser quality products for big box stores like the Home Depot. The plumber’s advice was to source faucets from actual plumbing specific stores. Alternatively, you can ask your plumber to source the faucet for you. I'm choosing a new kitchen faucet. does anyone have opinions?
for example:Moen Adler with Power Clean (has much longer hose length. 68" vs 20".)
vs.
Delta Lenta with ShieldSpray (if the ShieldSpray works as well as advertised, it could be rather nice.)
Moen might have slightly better overall build quality (from what I gather). But has lower flow rate. 1.5 gpm, which some reviewers say can get annoying when filling pots to cook or soak, etc.
For docking the sprayer, Moen has "Reflex", while Delta has "MagnaTite". Are they comparable?
i dont think an included soap dispenser matters much to me.
I'm open to other companies, models. but this seems to be where i'm narrowing it down.
I'm trying to stay under $150. (at what price point do you see additional features, like Touch/Touchless sensors, LED, etc.?)

$300 wasn’t including labor (bought from Home Depot and installed separately)
My parents have a perfect faucet with a nice bearing in it to nicely redirect with little effort. Installed in 2019 that has no name brand anywhere and don’t know where it came from. (Parents don’t know either and the contractor unfortunately passed who redid their kitchen)
Not looking for the exact faucet, just something people recommend.

Moen actually makes some really good stuff. Moen and Delta are the 2 brands I see get recommended the most by the plumbers I talk to. They both also have incredible warranties. I would contact Moen and explain the issues your having. They will either send out the failed part or replace it all together. They replaced the bathroom faucet I had that came with the house. No hassle.

I recently purchased a new bathroom faucet from Moen as I'm doing a bathroom reno. This was new in the box, and so far I've had to make 3 warranty claims on it! First the plastic housing for the drain was cracked, then I found that the hot side handle cartridge was missing the nut to lock it into place, and now that I have it all installed, the hot side cartridge has a moderate drip when it's turned fully into the off position.
I've never bought Moen before, I usually just buy the Delta or Glacier Bay stuff, which usually works fine. Is this just to be expected, or did I get a super-dud?

Glacier Bay over Moen? ....never heard that before. Moen's a better brand IMHO. You've either got an absolute dud of a unit that rolled out of the factory completely f'd up....or somehow ended up with a returned unit that your retailer boxed back up and put back out on a shelf. I'd pack it all back up and take it back to the store and get them to swap it all. Moen has a lifetime guarantee so any retailer will simply swap yours or for one new in the box and you can stop f'n around with this messes up one. "This Moen is broken" and done, no questions asked they'll just swap yours for a new one.
