Troubleshooting low hot pressure on a moen kitchen faucet
Moen Kitchen Faucet has loose cover, how to fix? Handle is still working, it’s just the handle cover that is loose and won’t push back in.

Hi~ I've got a MOEN 87014SRS Essie Single-handle Pull-down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet that has plenty of pressure for cold but as soon as I push the lever over to 100% hot it is like 15% pressure. All other faucets in the house have great pressure for hot, just the kitchen sink faucet is having issue. I've tried disconnecting the hose from the bib at the wall and it is clear. I even tried switching the cold over to the hot connector on the faucet and get the reduced pressure again. so it seems that the clog is internal on the hot side? Can't figure out how to blast those little granules out of just the hot side. TIA
I drew a small black circle around the area of that tab where you can slip a utility knife point underneath of it and pop it out it should come out pretty easily.
So far, everything I find online shows that the screw is certainly under the cap but no direction how specifically to remove the cap. Here is an image that I found:
Hope it helps!
