Mohawk employee here! I’m actually surprised to see Walker Creek in Costco. Didn’t know we were selling that in big box stores now. To put your mind at ease, both of these floors will perform just fine. You won’t be sacrificing durability for the eco-friendly product. It’s made with an aluminum oxide wear layer because it has no PVC in it. It’s more scratch resistant than the traditional LVT. Considering you have 3 dogs, that’s the product I would recommend. I got the LVP 2 years ago. It went in much easier than some cheap stuff I previously used from Lowes. You’ll probably want to but some transitions from the manufacturer and those can go in and out of stock. Overall I have been happy with them. More on reddit.com

Has anyone installed or has this flooring? It’s definitely priced very low compared to the Mohawk LVP next to it, I do like that it’s produced with a more eco-friendly approach but sometimes that means a sacrifice in durability… so y’all have any thoughts?
I’ve been looking at flooring for months at this point and kind of paralyzed by the variety of material, quality, and brands. Initially I was going to go with engineered hardwood but I like the ease of a floating floor which seems is mostly LVP.

Just to add context: I have a concrete subfloor, three smaller dogs, and swapping out tile/carpet in my kitchen/living room area. About 530 sq ft.

We will be doing our whole house to help make the floors look more seamless and after we buy the stair noses we will be paying around $4,000 which you honestly can’t beat. Of course, real hardwoods would have been my first choice… we also looked at other laminate patterns but when we got up to $5/sq ft we might as well just get the real deal.
