What did you end up doing? Smooth amber oak looks really nice. Crazy how different flooring looks if you change wall color. Currently ours are a light gray but sometimes appear more bluish bc don’t get a whole lot of natural light. I changed the color to a cream looking color and now suddenly this looks great. Hello! I’ve heard nothing but good experiences about Revwood Plus. I’m personally not a fan of laminates, but revwood is where I direct people when asked for laminate. Just make sure the proper waterproofing steps are taken (it’s described in their installation instructions), linked here https://mohawk.blob.core.windows.net/mohawkflooring/pdf/install/Revwood_Plus_Installation_Instructions.pdf , otherwise the waterproof warranty typically doesn’t mean much. So the flooring rep says revwood laminate is on par with lvp and there's not much difference - LVP is just more popular because it's more trendy. Prices pretty much the same between the lvp and revwood, but I do like one of the revwood colors a lot. I have a dog so would like something harder to damage, waterproof, and low maintenance. Is revwood laminate really going to be as durable as lvp? Please help!

Lvp is more resistant to water damage, laminate is more resistant to dents and scratches. No laminate that exists is waterproof. The rep is a salesperson who works for the manufacturer. Revwood is good laminate. Buy it if you like it. Standing water will still destroy it as it will any wood based product. It will take longer to happen with laminates marked "waterproof", but it will still happen. Lvp will scratch and dent. It's vinyl. But water won't hurt it. If you talked to the rep for the lvp line, you'd hear an equally convincing sales story from him about his products. Both are good floors. Buy the one you like.
