How do I use the Amazon Sales Estimator?
The Trellis Amazon Sales Estimator can provide you with some insights about your competitors on the platform. Here are a few things our Amazon Sales Estimator can tell you about your competitor:
- Sales Volume: A Sales Estimator can give you an estimate of the sales volume of your competitor’s products. It can provide you with an approximation of how many units they are selling per month or a specific time period. This information can give you an indication of the demand and popularity of their products compared to yours.
- Ranking and Performance: By analyzing your competitor’s sales data, a Sales Estimator can provide insights into their product rankings and performance. You can see how their products rank within specific categories or search results, which can indicate their visibility and competitiveness.
- Seasonal Trends: A Sales Estimator can help identify any seasonal patterns or trends in your competitor’s sales. It can show you when their sales peak or decline throughout the year, which can be valuable information for planning your own inventory, pricing, and marketing strategies.
- Market Demand: By analyzing the estimated sales volume of your competitor’s products, you can gauge the market demand for similar products. If their sales are consistently high, it may indicate a strong demand for that product category. Conversely, low sales estimates may suggest weaker market demand.
- Pricing Strategy: Sales Estimators can provide insights into your competitor’s pricing strategy by comparing their estimated sales volume with their product prices. You can see how their pricing affects their sales performance and identify any pricing strategies that are working well for them.
It’s important to remember that the information provided by Sales Estimators is based on estimations and historical data, so it may not be completely accurate.
However, it can still serve as a useful reference point to gain insights into your competitor’s performance and market dynamics. It can help you make informed decisions about your own product positioning, pricing, and overall competitive strategies on Amazon.

Hey everyone, I'm just curious if you guys would know how quickly it updates for rankings and how accurate it is in general. Does an estimate of 20 sales a month mean 20, or 10-30? Also in the same vein, how quickly does Amazon's rankings change when it comes to bestseller's ranks?
Hi guys. I'm taking my first steps on Amazon, and was wondering what's the best cost-effective tool to estimate sales. I have been using Keepa and Jungle Scout, but they differ enormously in their estimates for the same products. For instance, there is one product that Keepa estimates 230 sales in 30 days, whereas JS estimates 60/month. Which should I trust, if any?
