Can you recommend the most realistic flame/fire, most minimal box, highest-end gas probably direct-vent fireplace that DOESN'T throw alot of heat? Davinci's don't but to me they dont look realistic. Camina & Schmid do look great but they throw too much heat in a room. Or something I should consider for this design? Thank you!

Just be a baller and install a super box wood burning fireplace . Then pick the most badass remote gaslig setup u can find. This gives all looks and tiny heat. Extra points if you run a 3/4 inch line with matching valve.

As a service tech I personally hate eiklor but their gas log has a pretty impressive appearance with their 5 burner system. They look better than Peterson but if it were my home I'm going with Peterson all day only because I think their built better. Eiklor is kinda loud while burning and they soot like crazy. Can't stand their remotes either. Peterson uses sky tech remotes which are the best in the industry in my opinion. More on reddit.com
