I have a couple wireless keyboards, and mice, and a laptop with bluetooth, but no dongle. How do I connect them? I have a Logitech k235 Keyboard, and a flat microsoft keyboard with no model number I can find. There’s no button to pair them and no apparent key on the keyboard to put it into any kind of pairing mode.

Typically Bluetooth keyboards with no pair button indicate a dongle that uses 2.4 GHz to connect the devices. If this isn’t the case for you, turn on Bluetooth on your device and click “Add device.” This should scan for devices to connect. If you don’t see it there, you need a dongle. Also, you mentioned two keyboards…do neither of them have a dongle?

How can I connect a bluetooth keyboard and mouse to a docking station rather than to a computer, so that I can easily switch between computers with the mouse and keyboard connected to the dock?

I have a microsoft surface keyboard (Model# 3YJ-00013) and Microsoft Surface mouse (Model# 3YR-00005) as shown in the picture.
➊ I want to be able to connect the keyboard and mouse to my work laptop and personal laptop. For example, from 8am-4pm i use my work laptop and between 8pm-10pm i want to use my personal laptop.
• The issue with the above is that this Microsoft keyboard only allows me to connect to 1 laptop at a time.
➼ I have to manually disconnect and reconnect via laptop setting each time I want to change between uses.
I have a Dell D3100 Docking Station and I have purchased a Volans bluetooth 5.0 Dongle thinking by plugging into this dongle my docking station would help my situation… but it hasn't helped (unless i'm doing something wrong).
Is it possible to connect the keyboard and mouse to a central device and then connect that device to my docking station, therefore I am able to use the laptops interchangeably based on which laptop the docking station is plugged into.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Found a solution.
- CMD+SPACE to open spotlight search.
- Enter "mouse" and select the "Mouse" system preferences panel (probably the first item that comes up).
- CTRL+F7 (or CTRL+Fn+F7) to change the way the tabs move focus.
- TAB until "Set up Bluetooth device" is in focus.
- SPACE to press the button.
- Turn the mouse off and back on to put it pairing mode.
- The mouse should come up in the list of devices. TAB to focus it, then space to pair.
Normally, by the time you get to step 2, OS X will automatically attempt to locate your mouse. In this case, the computer was already paired with some other mouse (which I can't find) so it didn't do that.
Patrick solution won't work on Monterey. But if you enable full keyboard access then you will be able to use SPACE to connect to the selected device in the Bluetooth window. To turn on the Full Keyboard Access you need to press Option + Command + F5. Then you can follow the steps provided by Patrick to open the Bluetooth window and select the device + SPACE to connect.
I have a Microsoft Surface mouse and keyboard that are both Bluetooth. I would like to be able to use both between two computers with the ability to easily switch from one to the other. I was trying to see if there was something like a USB switch that I could connect them to that would then output to either computer depending on a switch. I just don't want to have to re-pair the devices each time I switch computers.
edit: after some research, it appears that what I'm looking for is a 'Peripheral Sharing Switch' but in Bluetooth form.
Does anything like this exist? As much as I really like CM Quickfire, sitting here and hopping between my phone, iPad and PC is just too damn convenient.
I started having this issue a couple days ago without any idea why - there’s been no recent driver updates for the past month.
Anyway, as the title says my MX Mechanical keyboard seems to have a Bluetooth pairing issue. The “Easy Switch 1” will blink slowly until I access my computer’s Bluetooth settings and remove/re-pair it. I’m assuming that it’s a Bluetooth issue because when this happens, logi+ can’t detect the keyboard.
This repeats every time I turn the computer off/on, OR the computer enters into sleep mode. :( Any idea why this is occurring? Can I do anything to fix it? I’ve tried everything else (including resetting the keyboard) that I could find, and customer service isn’t being helpful.
