Depends on the state. Don't voluntarily give up your age in your interview, though. There are a lot of headaches that come with managing a minor (scheduling limitations, mandatory break laws and such), and most AMC managers will avoid them if they can.

Depends on management. I applied to a theater about 4 months before I turned 16. GM said he would call me when my birthday got closer and they followed through on that! I got a call about 2 weeks before my birthday to get scheduled for orientation.

Specifically in Indiana. I would like to get a job soon, and this might be a good place to start. well technically I already had a job but I quit after two days but we aren’t going to talk about that.

Indiana does allow 14/15 years to work in movie theaters overall. But given the strict labor laws and how limited your hours have to be at 15. It’s highly unlikely you would get hired unless they’re desperate for employees. Especially during the slow season that we’re in right now. You may have better luck trying for the summer! (I work at a different small chain, but my corporate office is still based out of Indiana)

Possibly. Because you're a minor it might be difficult to work with your availability (varies from state to state, you'd want to look it up before applying so you can input that for your availability) it's not impossible, just hard depending on the location/how busy it is or isn't. Though, regardless of this job or whichever you apply to for the foreseeable future, I would 1000% leave out that last job you left after a day from your resume &never mention it in an interview. Even if you pass it off as a joke, It'll make you look unreliable and will make them want to not hire you.

look up labor laws in your state. that will dictate what hours you can work. pay will be the minimum wage in your state or $10, whichever is higher.

14 yr old in texas here, What you’ll be able to do is gonna depend on your location and possibly your availability.They’ll most likely start you off as either Usher or Usher/Greeter which mainly is just cleaning/greeting guests and scanning tickets and keeping general things such as soda machines, counters by said machines etc clean.However if your management is generous, they’ll have you get your food handlers license and put you in concessions which is daunting at first but with the right people you’ll learn very quickly In terms of hours it mainly depends on availability and what position you end up getting scheduled the most. Most shifts range between 4-8 hours depending on position Usher (4-6) Usher/greeter (7-8) Concessions (7-8) In my state(Texas) these are our rules for working During school year Weekends- up to 8 hrs shift must end before 7 pm Weekdays- up to 3 hrs shift ending before 7pm During Breaks Max 8 hrs shift Ending before 9 Pm In terms of work experience this is very well rounded in my opinion as it teaches Customer service, cleaning, somewhat fast food, ability to handle a register, time management and a few other things If you have any questions regarding employment here feel free to ask in the replies

Was just hired. I moved back home for law school (I’m 21) and even though law schools don’t recommend getting a job while a student, I need some money and I had always liked the idea of working at the movies. My parents seem to think that I’m going to be one of the older workers there because they think it’ll just be teenagers. I get its a good job for teenagers, but I don’t think starting at 21 makes me so much older than my coworkers. What do you think?
