Top 2 for dinner and a movie are Star Cinema Grill and Alamo Drafthouse. They are super clean, decent food, but are pricey. Back 10 years ago Palladium was the best theater around. Free refills, bowling, interesting food, etc...but they shut down and Regal took over. Its just not the same. Only went to Xscape once. The best thing about it was Mr. Pibb in a fountain drink. Cinemark Katy is the most reliable, but even recently there have been so many changes, like a Burlington Coat Factory style order line now where a screen yells at you which register to go to. AMC Katy Mills is probably the worst option only because of all the kids/teens that hang around it at certain times, but I still go there a lot. So there are many options for you. Late, but hey, why not... I have not had a bad experience at the Cinemark Katy and XD at the intersection of the Grand Parkway and I-10 West. I've seen plenty of movies there, but it's been a while for Reasons recently... Star Cinema at Fry and West and Alamo in LaCenterra were also decent experiences, but frankly, I dislike the 'serving food while movie is going on' thing. Star's seats are pretty nice though. Only reason I go to either is because something special goin' on, like there's a group who decided and I wanna go with the group, or maybe Alamo is running Serenity or a Star Trek thing again... Or late night Rocky Horror Picture Show where Audience Participation is Mandatory... unlike the 'posh' 7pm show where I was annoying everyone except the two ladies beside me who went for that reason. Never again, go at Midnight or no night. :p
