More specifically, I like the older movies to where it’s just a snapshot of a day in the life of teens, similarly in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Breakfast Club I want something that’s just a simple feel good type movie like those. I also like other films like Stand By Me, Goonies, and the Sandlot which feel similar to me.

High School Party Movies of the Decade 50s: The Last Picture Show (1971) 60s: American Graffiti (1973) 70s: Dazed and Confused (1993) 80s: Fast Times at Ridgemont High(1982) 90s: Can't Hardly Wait (1998) 00s: Superbad (2007) 10s: Booksmart (2019) These films have a lot of similarities. Most take place over 1-2 days (usually the last day of school/summer or the night before graduation). They all show case a different era of american high school life. Most are stacked with a lot of young soon-to-be Hollywood superstars. Most have a large party where all the different characters interact. And most have many different main characters from various high school "cliques" (jocks, nerds, etc) who all question what are they going to do with their lives now that high school is over.
