I'm going away to a youth camp soon, and I would like to bring some music with me. I need help picking a music player because I don't know much about them. i need it to have good sound quality and a long battery life. I also don't want a big screen on it because people will mistake it for a phone. I have a budget of $150. I don't mind if I go over, though. I would appreciate any recommendations you could give me. :)
Preferably one with physical buttons to skip/pause (Physical volume buttons would be nice by not a necessity)
Bluetooth
Looking for relatively cheap options no more than $60

What is the best MP3 player?
Which MP3 player is right for you?
How many songs does an MP3 player hold?
Hello! I am looking for an moderately priced MP3 player that has an SD slot so I can listen to music. I've seen some recommendations for models but they don't seem to be available on Amazon.in :( The product doesn't need to be fancy, just portable. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!
Im looking for a good portable music player, im so tired of paying subscriptions so i wanted to try and get a portable music player but i donβt know which one itβs the best
I am looking for a portable music system. In the past, I have used the iPod Classic but even the newest model was always buggy. Ultimately stopped using because it was not compatible with my newer car (even though it offers USB and AUX). Have been using my smartphone, but Iβd rather not need to take it everywhere. Are there any modern MP3 players or other portable music options that are worth it?
By that i mean something that looks like a 2000's mp3 player but that doesnt sound like an old mp3 player, not a modern dap with a huge screen, but something that Looks old but isnt old
I know. It not the 2000s anymore but I want to experience the 2000s experience with a mp3 players
What's the best MP3 player on the market? I want to get one because I want to just download a bunch of music instead of watching youtube videos to listen to music.
Hello, I have been sick of using spotify for a while. Are there any mp3 players that have good storage, physical buttons, good audio and an ability to run last fm on? (first two arent as important but good audio and last fm are essential for me) I want specifically a mp3 player because if i am on my phone i will eventually be distracted by other apps, so getting an mp3 will eliminate the distractions.
I have 500+ gb of over 40,000 video game music files (flac/mp3/ogg) saved to a hard drive. I want to save it all to a microSD so I can listen to all of it seamlessly on the go. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend any music players that support multiple file types at the same time and bigger (probably 1+ tb) microSD capacity.
When I was in school, I had this sony walkman that was in pendrive form factor with a small screen. And I loved it so much and a part of me still misses that nostalgic feeling. The buttons and battery on that thing died. I am looking for something similar and these are the features that are a must for me:
Needs to be small, I don't care about the screen size as long as it's enough to display the song name. Also, no touchscreen.
Don't care about bluetooth, as I think it drains the battery quicker and I'm fine with wired earphones.
Under $50
Sound should be loud and clear, not an issue if it doesn't support FLAC or other lossless formats. Mp3 320kbps is good enough for me.
Physical buttons quality needs to be good, as I am the kinda person who skips a lot of tracks most of the time.
The software needs to be reliable like old walkmans and ipods. I tried some chinese music players in the past and their software sucks.
Would be great if we can create playlist in it as well.
I've looked online a lot and the closest thing I've seen which fits my requirement is the Sandisk Clip Jam. But it's unavailable online. Are there any other mp3 players like this? Thanks in advance.
I thought portable players had become extinct, but then I noticed in this review of a pair of professional headphones that the guy had tested the headphones using a portable player. Being an average music listener using my phone with Bluetooth headphones/buds, I'm wondering if there's any meaningful advantage to using portable music players like Astell&Kern or FiiO. Does the wired connection deliver tangibly better music quality?
EDIT: I am super thankful for all of the help so far but you all have missed one key requirement. IT CANNOT HAVE ANY INTERNET CONNECTION AT ALL. It cant connect with cellular or wifi. Bluetooth is allowed but that is it
Hey guys first off sorry if this isn't the right sub for this! This is copied from my post over on r/BudgetAudiophile and I was directed here! And I did look for a wiki or buying guide but didn't see one so if you guys do have one just link me to it and I can read through that!
I recently got a new job that I am very very very excited for. I am unfortunately not able to share too many details but the relevant part for this post is that I am not allowed to carry my phone (or any personal devices with internet) while I am working. I am allowed to use music and the guys here suggested I get a MP3 player to use while I am at work.
I dragged out my old 4th gen iPod nano and have been using that, but because its pretty old (its 18 years old now!) and beat up well loved, I think its time to finally put it out to pasture and find a replacement. Here are the things I am looking for:
Bluetooth support
High quality DAC
Expandable storage, this is an optional thing. It would be nice but Ive only got ~5000 songs so most of them should be able to hold that
Small, I like how my iPod fits in my pocket without me noticing it. I don't want one of these phone sized players.
Here are some ideas I have from doing some reading over the last few days:
Upgrade my iPod - You can get a new battery and larger storage in it pretty easy these days. But it is still getting old and doesn't support bluetooth or higher resistance headphones
Cheapo player from Amazon - These are cheap and support Bluetooth, but I kinda want to get a nice one with a nice DAC and build quality
This AGPTEK player gets recommended a lot.
But none of these are "new" players, I haven't found any that seem to still be manufactured. I knew the market was going to be small but is it just completely dead?
To play from my local library. It would be good if I don't have to remake my playlists when I switch between devices
I want to watch/listen to youtube videos but i cant because the youtube app is too distracting.
So i got the idea to just buy a modern mp3 player that has an internal speaker, and bluetooth connectivity, and a long battery, a screen, and real buttons.
This way, I could just download a video, and then watch it with no distractions! And bring it to the gym!
The only issue is that most of them out there are just full screens, no physicaly buttons, which defys the whole point its like another phone bruh
What should i buy
thx. hopefully with the best sound quality
budget is infinite idc
